Secrets is the best-written companion app in the category. It also has over eighty Scenarios — pre-built situations you drop into — and V2 Scenarios shipped in August.
That's a starting position, not a game. Nothing happens if you don't talk.
But what it does have is the best memory system here — editable, pinnable, with Memory Groups across chats — and Time Travel, which rewinds a conversation to any earlier point. That's a save-and-load button, if you squint.

Here's where honesty matters more than search volume.
SpicyChat and GirlfriendGPT both have an RPG tag. Both have hundreds of characters filed under it. One of the most-messaged cards on GirlfriendGPT is a post-apocalyptic RPG scenario.
And there are no game mechanics on either platform. None. No stats, no inventory, no dice, no map, no levels.
What exists is creators writing RPG fiction into a character prompt and asking the model to keep score in its head. Sometimes that works for twenty messages. Then the model forgets you were carrying a sword.
