Secret Desires vs Secrets AI: Even Google Gets It Wrong
Type secret desires ai review into Google right now and the AI Overview opens with a sentence that says Secret Desires AI is “also known as Secrets AI.”
It isn't. They are two entirely different companies.
| Features | Secret Desires AI | Secrets AI |
|---|---|---|
| Site | secretdesires.ai | secrets.ai |
| Company | Playhouse Media (Delaware + Malta) | Secret Labs Inc. |
| Currency | Hearts ❤️🔥 | Moments |
| Entry price | $7.99/mo | $9.17/mo annual |
| Signature feature | Real-time calls, selectable chat engines | Group chats, tiered memory, 4K video |
Google's own answer box also pulls a 4.4-star Trustpilot rating into the Secret Desires result — and that rating belongs to secrets.ai. Four of the six questions in the People Also Ask box on that page are about the wrong company.
So if you arrived here having read that Secret Desires has group chat, or a 4.4 rating, or 8,000 monthly credits — you were reading about a different product. Our Secrets AI review is here. This one is about the other one.
Is Secret Desires AI Safe? The 2025 Data Breach Explained
I'd normally leave this until the trust section. Not here.

On 19 November 2025, close to two million images and videos belonging to Secret Desires users were sitting in misconfigured cloud storage, reachable by anyone who knew where to look. Journalists at 404 Media found them. The material only became inaccessible after those journalists made contact.
The exposed set was not only fantasy content. It included personal photographs, workplace and university details, and AI-generated explicit images of real women and girls who had not consented to any of it.
I'm not going to soften that, and I'm not going to pretend it disqualifies the product entirely either. Plenty of people will read this, weigh it, and sign up anyway. What I'd ask is that you make that decision knowingly rather than find out afterwards.
Two practical consequences if you do use it:
Secret Desires AI Pricing and Hearts

Every app in this category runs a token. Secret Desires calls its one Hearts, and here is the tier table.
| Plans | Pro | Ultra | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $7.99 | $13.99 | $19.99 |
| Hearts each month | 100 | 200 | 300 |
| Cost per Heart | 8.0¢ | 7.0¢ | 6.7¢ |
| Unlimited messaging | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Image & video generation | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Voice features | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Chat engines | Advanced + Pro | Advanced + Ultra | Advanced + Max + Experimental |
| Voice cloning | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ |
Quarterly saves 10%. Annual saves 20%. On annual that puts Pro near $6.39 a month and Max near $15.99 — though the toggle wouldn't render those figures for me without an account, so treat them as arithmetic rather than a checkout screenshot.
💡 A fair thing about the upgrade path. Move up a tier mid-cycle and you pay only the difference, and you receive Hearts equal to the difference too. Most rivals just charge you again. This one doesn't.
And now the annoying part
You are not told what anything costs before you spend it.
Not the image cost. Not the video cost. The reason given is that costs are set dynamically and change depending on which engine you pick — which is honest as far as it goes, and completely useless when you're trying to budget a Saturday night.
The one rate I could pin down is calls: two Hearts per minute.
That converts cleanly, and it's the number worth having:
| Tier | Cost per Heart | Call cost per minute | Minutes in your monthly grant |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro $7.99 | 8.0¢ | 16¢ | 50 |
| Ultra $13.99 | 7.0¢ | 14¢ | 100 |
| Max $19.99 | 6.7¢ | 13.3¢ | 150 |
That is cheap. Not cheap-ish — genuinely, structurally cheap. JOI AI charges around $4 a minute for a live video call. Candy AI is about 24¢ a minute for a phone call. Secret Desires will talk to you for a hundred and fifty minutes a month on the $19.99 plan and not ask for another penny.
If calls are the reason you're shopping, this changes the maths in a way no other feature on the page does.
The engine selector, which nobody talks about
Here's the feature that actually separates this from Candy AI, and it's buried.
You choose which AI model powers the conversation. Not once at signup — per partner, and you can override it on any individual chat.
| Tier | Engines you get |
|---|---|
| Pro | Advanced, Pro |
| Ultra | Advanced, Ultra |
| Max | Advanced, Max, Experimental |
Same woman, different engine, noticeably different partner. One writes tighter. One rambles more warmly. The Experimental engine on Max is the loosest and the least predictable, which is either the point or the problem depending on your mood.
Almost nothing else in this category lets you do this. Candy AI decides for you. Lovescape decides for you. Secrets AI gates its best model behind the top tier without letting you compare. Here you can run the same character through two engines in an afternoon and keep the one that sounds right.
⚠️ The catch: switching engines can change what a generation costs, and since those costs aren't shown, you can't work out which engine is the cheap one until you've used both.
Two response styles, and no scenario library
I need to correct something that's been repeated across several write-ups of this app.
There is no scenario system. No scenario packs, no branching storylines, no fantasy engine, no pre-built situations to drop into. I went looking specifically because the claim is everywhere.

What exists instead is a response style you set per conversation:
You steer with words rather than menus. The most reliable opening is to state three things at once: who's in the room, where it starts, and what you want her to react to.
That works. A one-line “hey” does not, and half of the complaints about repetitiveness in this category trace back to people opening with “hey”.
⚠️ Don't switch styles mid-chat. It disrupts the formatting and the tone, and it takes several messages to settle again.
Memory Notes — the best thing on the platform
Most apps in this category handle memory automatically and badly. You mention something important, it gets summarised into mush, and three weeks later she's forgotten she has a sister.

Secret Desires does something better and I want to give it proper credit.
Memory Notes are written by you. Facts, preferences, names, boundaries, story rules. You type them, they persist, and they are the reliable layer.
Auto Memory is a separate toggle that periodically summarises details out of your conversation history.
And here's the rule that makes it work: where the two conflict, your manual note wins.
That is exactly the right design and it's rarer than it should be. If the AI has decided you like something you don't, you write a note and the note governs. You are not arguing with a summariser.
They're also honest about the limit, which I appreciate more than a marketing claim would deserve: long conversations have a finite active context, so older details eventually stop influencing new replies. The advice given is to copy anything essential into your own backup — which is either refreshingly candid or a quiet admission, and probably both.
What it doesn't have: no published memory tiers. Secrets AI tells you Premium accesses roughly four times the memories and Ultimate six. Here there's no equivalent figure, so paying more doesn't obviously buy you deeper recall. It buys you engines and Hearts.
My honest read: the pinning is genuinely better than most, the depth is unproven, and anyone who tells you Secret Desires has “the best memory in the category” hasn't checked whether that claim has a number behind it.
NSFW chat controls that actually give you a choice

Adult content is off by default and you opt in. Fine, standard.
What's not standard is that control sits at two levels, and the lower one wins.
So you can run one partner soft and another with nothing held back, on the same account, without toggling anything back and forth. That's a genuinely thoughtful piece of design and I haven't seen it done this cleanly elsewhere.
The per-partner switches worth knowing:
Building your own AI partner
Seven steps, in this order:

Basics — gender, visual style (realistic or anime), age. Appearance — eye colour, ethnicity, hair style, hair colour. Physique — body type and related options. Traits — personality and relationship. Lifestyle — work, hobbies, and adult preferences if you want them. Voice — a supported voice, or a custom cloned one if your tier allows. Summary — name, generated preview, final review.
Gender coverage is woman, man and non-binary. AI girlfriend, AI boyfriend and gay landing pages all exist. I found no explicit trans category, which is a gap next to Lovescape and JOI AI, both of which treat it as a top-level filter.
Face Swap accepts a reference face and requires you to affirm you have permission to use it. Given what leaked in November, I'd think hard before uploading one.
Voice cloning is Ultra and above.
Read this before you publish anything
You can make a partner public. She goes through review first, and there are rules that catch people out.
You cannot publish a partner built with a face-swap reference, one using a custom cloned voice, or one that originated with somebody else — even after substantial edits.
And publication is a one-way door. What gets submitted is a snapshot of her traits and selected profile images. Later edits never update the public version. Chats, private edits and your gallery stay yours and stay out of it.
So: build privately, get her right, publish once. There is no second draft.
Images, video and what's missing

Image generation runs through a straightforward flow: pick your partner, choose photos or video, then select an engine, a quantity, a prompt, an action and an outfit.
Quantity is a batch control — you can pull several at once, which matters because there is no seed.
What doesn't exist: no seed control, no negative prompt field, no reference-image upload in the standard flow. If you've come from Promptchan, losing the seed is what you'll feel — you cannot lock a face across a set of images. Every batch is a fresh roll.
Resolutions aren't given. Neither is the cost.
Video does exist, and it works by animating a still from your gallery into a live photo or clip, choosing an engine, a prompt and a duration. Length, resolution and whether there's audio are all unpublished, and video may need a higher tier or extra Hearts.
That's the weakest part of the product, and it's why Media sits at 6.4 against a Chat score of 8.0.
What Secret Desires doesn't have
Worth stating plainly, because the absences shape who this suits.
Trust, billing and cancelling — 3.6 🔒

Who's behind it: Playhouse Media LLC in Delaware, and Playhouse Media Trading Ltd in Malta. Both are named and findable, which is more than Muah AI manages.
Cancellation is clean and self-serve. Profile → Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Two pieces of advice from their own guidance are worth repeating: complete every confirmation step, and cancel before you delete your account, not after.
Deletion is permanent and takes your account, your partners, your chats and the associated data with it.
The Statement Test — unresolved. There's a question in the help section about what appears on your statement, but the answer wouldn't load without an account and no descriptor is stated anywhere I could reach. Check your first statement.
Payment processors aren't named. No crypto option found.
Age verification is a click-through. One button. Against SpicyChat and JOI AI, both of which run real ID or facial checks in regulated markets, that's behind the curve — and after a breach involving images of real people, it's the wrong direction.
Uploads: you're told to only upload media and voices you own or have permission to use, and consent affirmation is required for face and voice references. Stated, not technically enforced.
On the softer side: there is a Content Removal Policy, a removal request form, a Complaints Policy, a Trust Hub and a Transparency Report. That's more infrastructure than most of this category bothers with, and it counts for something. It doesn't offset November.
Third-party trust signals are poor. One security scanner rates the domain 35 out of 100 and flags it as suspicious. An AI directory shows 3.6 out of 5 from 229 ratings. And to say it once more: the 4.4 Trustpilot score you'll see quoted belongs to secrets.ai.

Against Candy AI. Candy is cheaper on annual, publishes what things cost, has licensed performers and a far better video studio. Secret Desires writes better, lets you swap engines, and its calls are half the price. Candy is the safer buy; this is the more interesting one.
Against Secrets AI. The one people confuse it with. Secrets gives you 8,000 credits a month, 4K video, a published cost for everything, and calls at under 6p a minute. It beats Secret Desires on almost every measurable axis. What Secret Desires has that Secrets doesn't is the engine selector and a $7.99 door.
Against Darlink AI. Not close. Darlink charges $12.99 to start and $49.99 at the top for worse video, a widely-reported cancellation problem and a 2.6 Trustpilot score. Secret Desires is cheaper and better at nearly everything except the security record.
Against JOI AI. JOI has 100+ licensed real performers and Neurons that roll over. Secret Desires has calls that cost thirty times less. Genuinely different products.

Secret Desires AI FAQ
Is Secret Desires AI the same as Secrets AI?
No. Different companies, different products, different currencies. Secret Desires is run by Playhouse Media and uses Hearts; Secrets AI is run by Secret Labs and uses Moments. Google's AI Overview currently states they're the same and pulls Secrets AI's Trustpilot rating into results for Secret Desires. Both of those are wrong.
How much does Secret Desires cost?
Pro is $7.99 a month for 100 Hearts, Ultra $13.99 for 200, Max $19.99 for 300. Quarterly billing saves 10% and annual saves 20%.
What are Hearts on Secret Desires AI?
The in-app currency, spent on generations and calls. A call costs two Hearts per minute, which is between 13p and 16p depending on your tier. Image and video costs are set dynamically and aren't shown to you before you spend.
Does Secret Desires AI have video calls?
No. Real-time audio calls work, and a partner can ring you first if Texting Realism is switched on, but there's no video calling.
Is Secret Desires AI safe?
The company is named and reachable, cancellation is self-serve, and there's a functioning content-removal process. But in November 2025 roughly two million user images and videos were exposed through misconfigured cloud storage, and the exposed set included non-consensual deepfakes of real people. Use a throwaway email and don't upload photographs.
Can you get a refund from Secret Desires AI?
There's no refund policy page. Disputed charges are handled by email on a case-by-case basis, and the same applies to Hearts lost to a failed generation. Assume nothing is guaranteed.
Does Secret Desires AI have scenarios?
No. Several write-ups claim it does, but there's no scenario library, no branching storylines and no fantasy engine. What exists is a per-chat response style — Texting for short replies, Roleplay for longer narrative scenes.
Is there a Secret Desires AI app?
No listing on either store. It's a browser app you can install to your home screen. Searches for a modded APK turn up regularly; there's no official app for one to be based on.
What is voice cloning on Secret Desires AI?
A feature on Ultra and above that builds a custom voice for a partner from a reference. You have to affirm you have permission to use whatever you supply, and a partner using a cloned voice can't be published publicly.
Can I change my mind after publishing a partner?
Not really. Publication submits a fixed snapshot and later edits never reach the public version. You'd need to build again from scratch.
Which chat engine should I pick on Secret Desires?
Start on Advanced, which every tier gets, then compare against your tier's premium engine on the same partner. They read noticeably differently. On Max, the Experimental engine is the loosest and least predictable of the set.
Is Secret Desires AI free?
There's a free entry point, but the message and image limits aren't stated anywhere public, and generation and calls both need Hearts. Treat it as a look around rather than a usable tier.
Verdict
Secret Desires AI is the cheapest good conversation in this category, attached to the worst security record on this site.
The good is real and specific. Seven ninety-nine gets you in. You choose the engine, which almost nobody else allows, and it genuinely changes who she is.
Memory Notes you write yourself, overriding whatever the AI decided — the correct design, and rare. Calls at thirteen pence a minute when JOI charges four dollars. Per-partner content overrides that let one companion stay soft while another doesn't.
The bad is one paragraph long and it's the whole trust score. Two million files in open storage in November 2025, including explicit images of real women who never agreed to any of it. No 2257 page. No refund policy page. An age check that's a single button.
Neither cancels the other, so I'll be plain about how to weigh it.
If you want a companion that talks, on a budget, and you're prepared to sign up with an email that leads nowhere and upload nothing — this is a genuinely good product for the money and the engine selector is a feature I now miss on other apps.
If handing your fantasies to a company that left two million of them in an unlocked bucket is not something you can get past — that's not squeamishness, that's arithmetic, and Secrets AI at 7.9 or Candy AI at 7.8 will both look after you better.
